Petrochemical Brands of the World’s Mainstream Polyethylene (PE) Linear Compounds (primarily LLDPE and Metallocene PE)

A few points need to be clarified:

1. Numerous Brands: Major petrochemical manufacturers worldwide produce hundreds of PE brands, which are constantly updated based on market and application needs. This list is not exhaustive, but the most common brand families are listed.

2. Classification: Brands are typically differentiated by production process (e.g., Unipol, Sclair, Innovene, etc.) and application (e.g., film, injection molding, rotational molding, etc.).

3. Comonomer: The performance of linear PE depends largely on its comonomer (e.g., butene-1, hexene-1, octene-1). Generally, octene-1 copolymers perform better than hexene-1, which in turn outperforms butene-1. This is sometimes reflected in the brand name (e.g., “Hexene” indicates hexene copolymers).

4. “Linear”: This generally refers to LLDPE and metallocene PE. HDPE and LDPE (high-pressure process) are not included in this summary. Major Global PE Linear Material Manufacturers and Representative Brands
